“Greatness Awaits” video points towards a possible Uncharted 4 or new Crash Bandicoot game.
Sony recently released their “Greatness awaits” promotional video for Playstation. The set is alight with all types of Easter eggs for Sony’s upcoming, past, and present games. However we think we have spotted one or two that have managed to sneak by without any attention.
Here’s the full video here:
At 1:14 you can clearly see a man dancing in what could be an “Aku Aku” mask. These masks were a huge part of Naughty Dogs classic title ‘Crash Bandicoot’. The Aku Aku mask gave the player invincibilty for a limited amount of time if three masks were found in one level.
See what you think for yourselves in the image below .
Another hidden hint or Easter egg that we haven’t heard anyone talk about is at 1:19.
If you look to the right you will see a Kennel. Now there’s only one studio that we know of that could possibly reference their name to a Kennel and that’s of course “Naughty Dog”. Couple this together with the guy dancing in the Aku Aku mask and I think we have a good case. Especially as Naughty Dog developed and released four Crash Bandicoot titles through 1996 – 1999.
We aren’t done yet though. We could have the “Aku Aku” mask theory wrong. But this other theroy looks solid to us. Take a look above, and slightly to the right of the Kennel.
You have the Kennal (Naughty Dog), and in close proximity a 4. Could this be suggesting Uncharted 4? We know that Naughty Dog was split into two teams whilst creating The Last of Us and Uncharted 3, and with the release of The Last of Us tomorrow, could the studio be working on Uncharted 4 perhaps? No new title has been announced by Naughty Dog as yet, or do they have any other upcoming releases.
Of course it’s all speculation, but who knows. They could be working on both titles.
